Pakistan Between 1978 and 2011 a couple of projects in Pakistan: it started with the Siachen Glacier Expedition (with nearly 80 kilometers the longest non-polar glacier); an expedition together with Wolfgang Kohl, Volker Stallbohm and Asad Raza resulted in a documentary for the German TV. In 1980 followed a documentary on the river Indus. In 1981 expedition to Chilas to document the petroglyphes at Chilas (together with prof. Karl Jettmar, university Heidelberg). In 2011 travel to Chitral to attend the polo festival on Shandur Pass. |

Italian panoramas In October 2001 at the instigation of Joachim Blüher and on invitation by the community of Altidona, province the Marche, the first serial of panoramics on Italian subject was created. During a two months stay in Villa Massimo, the German Academy in Rome, I concentrated on landscapes outside of Rome, the province Lazio.The project ended in October 2016: the last exposed panorama on an Ekatchrome film happened in Rome... |

Panoramas de France Beside Paris and Loire Valley I have started projects on Ile de France and South of France. I doubt they will ever be finished: the films, Ektachromes for colour and Kodak Plus X pan for black and white, seized to exist a few years ago. So I made a selection and self-published them in edition of 15 copies with the title "Panoramas de France"). |

Siachen Glacier The Siachen Glacier Expedition in 1978, together with Wolfgang Kohl, Volker Stallbohm and Asad Raza, resulted in a documentary for the German TV. In 1984 India stsarted a war with Pakistan for this glacier, most likely the longest outside polar regions. In 2003 a cease fire was agreed upon but both countries maintain permanent troops contingents in the ice-wild of Eastern Karakorum. Here presented photographs never were publlished. |

Afghanistan Since October 2010 employed for one year in Afghanistan as GIZ-CIM (German International Cooperation) expert. The task was photographic documentation of cultural heritage. |

Kashmir My first travel to India was in the summer of 1974. I intended to go to Ladakh but at the time of my departure in Germany it looked hopeless to obtain the inner line permit from the Ministry of Home Affairs in Delhi. And it happened that Ladakh was thrown open just a few days before my landing in Delhi. In Srinagar I learnt about Amarnath Yatra, the most significant pilgrimage of Shivaists: on the fool moon day in August Shiva and his consort Parvati are present in the Cave of Amarnath. Four days hard walk through Kashmir Himalaya. |

Platinum-Palladium-Prints Inspired by the great American photographers Stieglitz and Steichen I learned the technique of making Pt-Pd-prints in 1994. This gallery presents a set of Pt-Pd-Prints of selected Angkor motives photographed between 1993 and 2000.. All motives are printed in an edition of 15. |
